About Chrome Over two decades ago we made our first Chrome bag with a Juki sewing machine, a few yards of industrial-grade nylon, military grade truck tarpaulin, and the commitment to making durable useful gear that works on and off the bike. We didn’t have money to make a buckle that could hold the weight of a loaded messenger bag, so we salvaged seatbelt buckles out of junkyard cars. An icon was born.
